Something I spoke about before was how transphobia is often an expression of misogyny, it gives people who hate women an outlet and sets trans women up as a class of women it's socially okay to be misogynistic towards, while also providing an ideological justification for that misogyny.

I straight up think we're being lied to about Al coding

I'm a software engineer. The more | use these Al coding agents, the less I trust them

Starting with verbosity. I often find Claude making massive, complex PRs for what should be relatively simple.
It often goes off and does things that are waaaay overkill for what I need. It adds absurd amounts of comments. It blows the scope of every feature up dramatically

I once asked it to help me with address validation. We already had an API in place for it. It started handing every countries different conventions for addresses, despite the fact that my project is USA-focused. What could have been a maybe 500 line change exploded to a 5000 line change. I remember it had a whole section about handling the Thai language, which we explicitly don't support (sorry Thai friends)
I| started getting really suspicious of it so started doing experiments

My first experiment was around the code-review tool. I noticed that it seems to always suggest things, making me question its actual utility. So, I started a project with a single script that simply printed “hello world”. That's it. That's literally all. One line of actual code, and a package file

I ran code review on max and it found 10 errors. I told it to fix them and it started doing tasks that were totally unrelated, like adding additional unnecessary files like contributing.md and .claude and .vscode. Why?
I honestly don’t know

I ran the same code review again and this time it found 12 errors. Huh??? Whatever, I say fix it and do it again.
Still finds errors. Definitely raises some questions. I tell it to fix them, run code review again

It added tests, a bundler, a test suite, CI/CD, docker, some ancillary scripts, and a whole bunch of other shit.
The more I ran it, the more just pure garbage it added. I even explicitly specified: the only goal of this project is to print “hello world". Nothing else.

"SO, in case you missed it

This weekend i had a heart attack. It was a "silent heart attack;" one that is very low simmer rather then a big notable event. It had evidently been going since late friday until i went to the doctor around noon on thursday.

When i got to the urgent care they ran a few tests and told me either i get to the hospital or they call an ambulence and TAKE me to one, because i was currently suffering heart issues and didn't know it.

After spending all day yesterday in the hospital, we ruled out most medical causes that could have triggered it. My blood pressure is a little elevated but not enough that it would be a concern for something like this. After talking with a psyche they had on staff and a few of the doctors, it was concluded this was stress induced and psychosomatic.

Effectively, because my body and it's dumb anxiety / stress response had been dumping "Fight or Flight" hormones into itself for more then a month without pause, my heart started to give out. If i had waited another day or two that "silent heart attack" would have likely progressed into something much, much worse.

I have been so stressed and anxious that my body literally almost killed itself."

I'm not stopping streaming. If anything, you guys and our time together is one of my biggest destressing things. I love streaming. I love this community. I love everyone in it and our ability to laugh together without any form of judgement more serious than pineapple on pizza discourse.

However, I need to take steps to make sure i'm not doing things in my life that stress me out; which includes certain aspects of the stream.

Going forward, I will not be doing any more challenge runs. Not only are the runs themselves stressful, but the psychiatric logic behind me doing them is reinforcing stress-inducing thought patterns. I will be focusing on playing more games that i find relaxing rather then ones that I think are impressive or noteworthy.

I will not be chasing the goal of being some titan of talent, who has viewers because i'm a goddess at the games i play.
Instead I will be casually walking the path of a friend sharing her passions and whimsey and joy while gaming with her viewers.

Expect a lot less "deathless" runs. Expect a lot less high octane gaming.
Expect a lot more casual loredumps or playthroughs of games i find neat and cool where i go off on tangents explaining why i think they're neat and cool.
Also expect a lot more collabs and that, since my friends are what make me smile."

My moderators and I have talked about it in the verified chat and the conclusion is that I am not allowed to play a game on any "challenge" difficulty settings, and that the only time I am to quit a game and say i failed it is if i actually get a game over screen.

Long as the game lets me respawn and keep playing, I have not failed it.
