Watched a multi-acre fire break out before my very eyes and then watched a bunch of helicopters show up and put it out. Government was a good idea, it should do more things like that instead of evil and corruption
I propose a new law: Every politician, PAC, SuperPAC, whatever, and all of their staff/employees, must receive on their personal phone, with a push notification, every single fundraising text they send out. The texts must also be sent to the personal phones of their family and friends.
An all-Muppets Super Bowl halftime show would be amazing.
What an important act of humanizing, inclusion and kindness towards people who get so little of it. Mamdani's kindness stands out in stark contrast to how so many other politicians act. Truly a man of and for the people.

The semi ban on 580 is also why there are more surface street connector routes for trucks in E Oakland compared to other parts of town. This is partly why we haven't been able to get traffic calming or other safety features on some streets like 55th Ave. It isn't just a 580 vs 880 issue.

Last night the El Cerrito City Council voted to end our Flock contract! Huge thanks to the hundreds of El Cerritans who organized to make this happen. They met with councilmembers multiple times, shared research, sent emails, circulated petitions and dozens spoke at our meeting that ended at 1 am.
