I think one reason data center outrage is so pronounced is people spent decades recycling and composting and otherwise scrimping to offset energy use and protect clean water, and the second we hit an inflection point for cheap electricity the banking industry said we’re taking all of it, fuck you

Krisi 🏳️⚧️@primaryradical.bsky.social · 4mo agoDavid Duchovny played a transgender woman, Denise, on Twin Peaks in 1990 and when greeting Cooper, the show's protagonist, she says, "I prefer Denise, if you don't mind" and Cooper responds with "OK" and her identity is settled within a couple seconds and was a non-issue, 36 years ago.
I don’t know, maybe we should watch this happen to another 500 female led movies to be sure.

This just popped up in my feed from 1.5 yrs ago. I’m still very disabled by that reinfection. Making slow improvements, & finding symptomatic treatments to make the most of what I’ve got. That reinfection from an unventilated school cost me dear; a year off work & the family home for starters.

Another infection 6 weeks ago (via my kids’ school, again) and I’m back to being mostly bed/house bound again. We desperately need #CleanAir in schools and healthcare.
Reminder that Covid is a gender issue with women being more likely to develop long Covid & have to shoulder this burden while raising kids. The gov't has not addressed this

By the time authorities admitted Covid was airborne, millions of people had already died. The Andes strain of Hantavirus spreads person to person. Everyone on the boat should have been quarantined. You don’t “wait & see” with a virus that has a 40% fatality rate.
So in fact, away from racist reports about 'family voting', the actual issue compromising the integrity of our elections is voter suppression by the authorities. Labour are doing Reform's dirty work in this area already.

Long COVID research is moving toward a clearer picture: this may not be one illness with one cause. It may be several overlapping problems involving the immune system, blood vessels, nerves, clotting, muscles, sleep, and viral remnants.
18 months ago I was bedridden by long covid (again!). It’s been quite a project, researching & trialling treatments. It’s a work in progress, but I’m finally improving. First pic is me resting while trying to do some baking with my son. Second one is me yesterday walking with him to the duck pond!
