Reading The Epiphany Machine by David Burr Gerard. There’s this whole 9/11 section which has me climbing out of my skin because it so accurately reflects the blood-thirsty drive for vengeance of Americans after the attacks.

Tonight we rewatched The Matrix with our 16yo who had never actually sat and watched it through before. It's really interesting to watch it now that I've seen Speed Racer even more times, so I see things like all the big closeups or the VFX whammy bar they employ on reality in that context now.
