A lot of people I know shared posts about the Yandex datacenter bombing resulting in a decrease in Russian misinformation/disinformation bot activity, sometimes with charts. Let this be a reminder every one of us could be fooled by a story that we really want to be true.

This suggests that if enough time is dedicated to homework, regardless of AI usage, performance is roughly the same. This lacks a non-AI comparison for students completing homework in <50 minutes. If I had to guess, rushed homework is going to correlate to bad test scores, regardless of AI.

Note: The figure plots the median and interquartile ranges of exam scores by homework completion time, separately for AI students and non-AI students. It also plots the mean exam score for the Al students before the month they start using generative AL. The data are at the student-month level and the sample is that shown in Panel A of Table 1 with non-missing observations for homework time. There is little evidence of selection, except at the very low and high end, where students are positively selected.

JOKER: Not so fast, Bat-JERK! My LAUGHBangs will leave you BLIND as a BAT! BLUESKY BATMAN: Oof. Many people suffer from reduced vision. Not funny. JOKER: It's like, it's a pun. It's just wordplay. BLUESKY BATMAN: Sorry if I'm not in the mood for "jokes" while SCOTUS shreds our constitutional rights

I’m a climate scientist. Let me fix this headline. “Nearly a century ago, scientists showed that burning fossil fuels warms the planet. Today, we know human emissions account for over 100% of the warming. Yet dark money and disinformation still work to keep Americans addicted to fossil fuels.”

Scientists have reached a consensus that human behavior is a big driver of climate change—but Americans aren't buying it.
