At Reggae on the River, during Red Gold and Green someone passed Kabaka Pyramid a Free Palestine flag and he took it and held it up to big cheers.

The abrupt falling sensation you sometimes experience just as you’re going to sleep, known as a hypnogogic jerk, is a common phenomenon that has a perfectly natural explanation, and is caused by ghosts trying to drag you to hell.

The fundraising texts you delete are working on someone. It’s infuriating and heartbreaking. An 85yo in Ohio gave more than double the value of his home. A 91yo in an Indianapolis senior facility gave 25K times. The DCCC/DSCC don’t just tolerate the spammers who exploit seniors. They take part.

Hook and Squeeze

How Democratic consultants, committees, and party leaders built a fundraising spam pipeline that funnels money from a captive pool of elderly donors into their own operations.

Are people on Bluesky aware that a Black man was found hanging from a tree in Raleigh NC yesterday afternoon, near the CaribMask Carnival. Making this the sixth or seventh Black person found hung this year. Also? Black. People. Do. Not. Hang. Themselves. From. Trees.

Ahmed In Gaza, and my family is still without a safe home after ours was bombed. I care for my sick mother, but our campaign has received very little support. We urgently need food, medicine, and shelter. Please don’t leave us behind. Even €1 or a share can give us hope.🇵🇸🫂🙏 chuffed.org/project/157281

Four photos of Ahmed next to his family's tent. Three are just him and the fourth is him seated next to his parents on a bench, with his father's arm around his mother.

To the extent that Yglesias's comment is true (and to the extent that it is also true about climate change, wars of aggression, alliances) it's a reminder to the rest of the world to at best expect nothing from Americans and from US politics, and at worst to see the country as a irredeemable menace

As silly as the whole "the right has no cultural influence" argument is, the whole edifice is indeed a depressing look into the mind of a typical American swing voter

ICE agents violently ripped a man from his car in South Lawrence, MA—tackling him on the ground right in front of his terrified wife and child while local police guarded them! DISGUSTING. We must protect our neighbors! Report ICE activity / Get alerts: WWW.STOPICE.NET | Text JOIN to 877-322-2299

Yesterday I drove by the spot where last month ICE murdered Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine. A memorial with flowers and signs remains. It was an important reminder that we cannot forget the individual victims of ICE terror. May his family get justice someday.

Maple Glade Trail at Quinault Rain Forest, Washington I really enjoyed my time in the Quinault Rain Forest last month. Everything was so green and lush, with moss covering almost every part of the forest. Walking through it really felt like stepping into another world.

A narrow trail winds through the lush Quinault Rain Forest beneath a massive moss-covered tree. Long strands of moss hang from its broad branches above dense sword ferns and bright green forest vegetation. The trail disappears into the trees, creating a strong sense of depth and invitation. The scene feels quiet, ancient, and a little magical.

Completely predatory and gross making kids do this to get needed supplies. "As the youth and police worked together to unlock the next step in their journey, the students picked up supplies, clothing and other personal items." www.ctvnews.ca/edmonton/art...
