Synaptic loss in schizophrenia isn't random. New PET imaging work from our group, led by @sidchop.bsky.social, shows it's left-lateralized, follows neurochemical gradients, and may propagate outward from inferior frontal cortex through axonal networks, independent of MRI grey matter changes
