I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

Only 24% of UK children’s books published in 2024 featured a racially minoritised character. That means 76% did not. The talent has never been missing.Access is restricted. Investment is unequal. Decision-making power remains concentrated.Publishers cannot blame festivals. Festivals cannot blame publishers. Booksellers cannot endlessly blame consumer demand. Every institution shaping literary culture is responsible for the choices it makes.We built the Black British Book Festival because representation should not begin after backlash. If I read this right, "we've shut the bus stops for eight years and noticed nobody has been using them in this period. There's clearly no observed demand so it is a clever, big-brain decision on our part not to reinstate them". Or am I missing something?
