I'm not the first to say some version of this, but I keep thinking about the Big Tech oligarchs and how really all of it for the past 20 years has boiled down to the simple fact that these men are terrible at being human, so they hate it and want to do all they can to escape their own humanity. 1/x

i not only survived a rather isolated and difficult childhood because of libraries, but also I think I owe my career and writing to librarians who were patient, kind and generous with me. Children belong in libraries.

I cut them off before I started therapy.
