My favourite part in all this is all the awful people praising him for being openly awful then complaining that others are saying he was openly awful like it's a bad thing. "No no, you should appreciate and admire what a slimeball he was, you're not allowed to dislike that."

JOURNALIST and broadcaster Rod Liddle has died aged 66 after a short illness.

The Sunday Times and Sun columnist was editor of BBC Radio 4’s Today programme from 1998 to 2002 and more recently presented shows on Times Radio.

He also had a weekly column in The Spectator, where he was an associate editor.

He met his second wife, Alicia Monckton, on the magazine and they married in 2008. He was previously married to fellow journalist Rachel Royce.

He died on Sunday evening at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

the mainstream press praising rod liddle in death are not unaware he was a bigoted pedophile, they like him for it. the people in their in-group, at the top of their hierarchy, getting away with crimes signals that the world is in order. it is a moral good, to them. the bigger the crimes the better
