there comes a time in every boy’s life when he calls around trying to bum a VPS off friends and family

Like we need to be extremely clear here that the problem is that Labour is expecting accolades for stuff like the headphones thing whilst they are actively being atrocious to trans folk, immigrants, the climate, protesters…

For some reason, probably to pay homage to the new prime minister stealing its best lines, they’ve stuck 24 Hour Party People back in the cinema. It’s just the most gloriously silly film, even better to stumble out of a late showing on a Sunday night with about a dozen people watching, recommend.

With the final report of the autism, ADHD and mental health review expected soon, here's a reminder of what their interim report actually said. We, as a community, helped bury this by giving all our attention to a misleading Times headline on publication day instead. Let's not do that again.

Remember Streeting's review into whether young people are being overdiagnosed with ADHD, autism, and mental health issues? Well, the interim report is out, and there's a reason the media are silent on it (spoiler: it proves what a lot of us have been saying all along)

In others, notably ADHD and autism, rising diagnoses and referrals appear to exceed changes in underlying epidemiological prevalence and are likely to reflect a combination of:

improved recognition
changing help-seeking behaviour
institutional incentives
pressures within existing service pathways
Across both ADHD and autism, best currently available population-based estimates remain relatively stable, while administrative diagnoses, self-identification and recorded service demand have increased substantially. In autism, the evidence also points to particularly rapid growth in identified need within educational systems, including increasing identification among girls and among young people without learning disability.

truly my most "I am very basic and I don't care if things seem complicated I think they can also just be simple" opinion is that you should buy a house or a flat if you want a place to live in and I just don't really care if price goes up or price goes down, you have a roof! that was the whole point

So Reform have launched an app that tracks small boats arriving in the UK in real time, and already their supporters are complaining that it's boring because there are hardly any boats. They are SO close to getting it.

I think we need to put our squeamishness aside and engage seriously with how effectively and rapidly feminism has been co-opted by the right in the UK.

According to too many, there is white and then there is political there is male and then there is political there is capitalism and then there is political there is straight and then there is political there is cis and then there is political there is non-disabled and then there is political

Two RNLI volunteers were pictured in Portsmouth this weekend while responding during the Patriot Platform protest. The far right responded by identifying them and branding them “traitors”. This is what the far right’s “peaceful” activism looks like.
