this is a very thoughtful and nuanced piece. i think this paragraph is especially important to keep in mind. a lot of people are talking about geller as if he has spent the last ten years doing his best to atone for what he did, or asking if ten years of "good work" can outweigh one rape.

Elon Musk, who is estimated to have ensured the mass deaths of 16 million people by 2030, most of whom will be children, is also history's most prolific creator and distributor of CSAM. He has basically infinite money to avoid facing any legal consequences whatsoever for his vast, vast crimes.
I've gotten at least three of these in the past few months, and I'm an absolute nobody. One was for a novella I self published fifteen years ago.

Your book has been selected by our book club, TikTok group, literary thing etc." Unsaid is that it will cost $2000 to get things rolling. This never happened before, this avalanche of scams.
