I want to take a moment after the chaos of today to say something about the fandom, and bring up a post from former Dragon Age writer @thatotherwriter.bsky.social It was posted over a year ago when the DA team was laid off, but still applies: Dragon Age isn't dead because it's yours now.
Gotta raise a glass to Bioware. Baldur's Gate 1+2, Neverwinter Nights 1, Mass Effect 1-3 (MASS EFFECT for goodness' sake). Star Wars KOTOR. These were some of the greatest PC games of all time and absolutely changed the RPG industry.
For so much of my career as a game writer, Bioware stood as the pinnacle of our craft. It's been a long, slow decline, and I knew their last project was troubled, but this still feels like the end of a golden era
