Finally had my first encounter with someone I've known for years who didn't recognize me at all. (New face, new hair, etc.) It was delightful

In the end I'm mostly disappointed. Technically brilliant with a lot of passion, but Resonant is mostly a Remedy game with the weird, quirky, "cringe" rough edges sanded off. Some *brilliant* performances and bits, but little of the heart that's made me hyperfixate on Remedy games for 25+ years.

Finally tested negative consistently for Covid. On the downside, apparently Covid does not play well with recovering from recovering from having my skull remodeled. My brain was already taking the surgery personally. So in a lot of ways I’ve had my feet knocked out from under me. (Again)

I spent much of the 00's and early 10's writing about humanizing autonomous intelligences. The idea was that by illustrating how we culturally construct personhood around these systems that it would force people to really interrogate how we grant and deny personhood to humans. This was a failure.
