This. A whole lot of me being "good at computers" was a basic understanding of search and a freakish memory that gave me exact phrases to search for. Now? Most search engines straight up ignore quotation marks.
awl@atomly.com · 5mo agoI hate that almost every search stopped supporting quotation marks around a word or phrase to match it exactly. There are so many times that I know exactly what I'm looking for but it keeps trying to show me unrelated bullshit. The loss of booleans and advanced filtering is a whole other issue.
huh. instead of using vpns or a different client (like deer.social), seems like you can also bypass bsky's bs age verification just by blocking ip.bsky.app at the router level (pfblocker-ng, pihole, local hosts file, etc...)
