I am still so furious and also so heartbroken. This feels like the least I can do, and maybe you can too.

Notably, they've got some footage from @unicornriot.bsky.social in there near the end, which is a good collaboration of media for the people.
It's also not been the answer to revitalizing downtown, nor is it about who parks are or are not for. This documentary episode covers historic angles of Indigenous Relocation, Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives & the Wall of Forgotten Natives. Share this widely. Host screenings & discussions.
Germane to the Twin Cities today: just watched TPT's "Return to Skid Row" covering up to ~2021 & shows bulldozing has never been the answer to "social blight" AKA the social plight of our cities' most vulnerable. @mayorher.bsky.social & @mayorjacobfrey.bsky.social ought to reflect on such history.

Please pause a minute and consider how much money municipalities spend on displacing and hurting people, destroying what few possessions they have (including ID documents and in-process paperwork for help), disconnecting them from community and aids to climb out of their situation... 1/3
This is NOT how we treat our neighbors. No one involved has been able to answer what "alternative housing" will be available for the people they are intentionally displacing in preparation for a Minnesota winter. Shelters are full, and not every shelter is suited for every person... Please help 💕💸
In Minnesota, girls sell lemonade on the street to help their sisters arrested by ICE. Stephen Miller’s goons are very much still here. Sign reads, “Please help us raise money for my sisters because they were arrested by ICE” & this has been confirmed by trusted community members.
There is no end to the harassment faced by our unhoused neighbors. Soon many of our neighbors will lose their only source of shelter. The Supply Depot helps as many as they can, but they will need additional funds to help people displaced by the upcoming evictions.

Saint Paul is importing Mayor Frey's failed policies, putting unhoused people at great risk. Help Sanctuary Supply Depot prepare people for what's about to be lost.

The Bond Between and AHS’s programs have such long waitlists…and truly, nobody wants to or separated from their pet or their human partner. I’d rather take an alley or a tent and stay together than split up at night (or for months with the temp pet housing)
I have been saying for months that Kaohly Her is terrible on homelessness. Now she’s going to evict an encampment of 200 people. Where will they go?
You don’t get to say ‘ICE Out’ during the height of the occupation by the federal government and then support policy that hands ICE more people to deport. Pick one.
Today, the City of Minneapolis and Mayor Frey announced a strategy that I consider the city’s War on Drugs. 1/ www.startribune.com/minneapolis-...
The goal of a harm-reduction approach like this is to explore options. NOT requiring sobriety to qualify for housing assistance is relatively new, demonstrably more effective at helping both homelessness AND substance use disorder, and has made it clear that Housing First is crucial to recovery.
This is NOT to say that people are actually using it on drugs. I'd say even anecdotally that is far from the majority. But if it's going to happen and you're morally opposed to that, please know that's still better than the alternative.
While I need us to always challenge the narrative, every day, that homeless people have substance use disorders, I also need us to acknowledge the ways in which, when those do intersect, it is more complicated than that shallow and dismissive narrative also.
I think about this almost every day
People associate drugs with homelessness partly because they're told to, because it makes it easier to throw people away and dismiss the problem, but also for the same reason people associate accumulated garbage with homeless people - there's nowhere to hide it. Housed people just do drugs inside.
Things your unhoused neighbors can use this summer, aside from the obvious: - candy (I get asks for this more than almost anything) - sunscreen (high SPF pls!) - lip balm (bonus for SPF) - electrolyte packets for water - cash - gift cards for fast food and/or accessible grocery stores 1/
To say that our city is not going to have encampments requires us to first say that we have an alternative plan in place to ensure that every single person who currently lives in an encampment will receive the housing and support that they need.
This is murder, plain and simple. If you live in St. Paul, call the mayor's and your CM's offices and tell them you don't want this to happen.
Beginning Aug. 5, the city of St. Paul will start clearing ALL of its major homeless encampments on a rolling basis, beginning with Fish Hatchery Road/Pig's Eye Park. Here's why, and why some service providers say they're taken by surprise: www.twincities.com/2026/07/08/s...

Jacob is only going to harass and assault them. please help @supplydepotmpls.bsky.social and @commkitchenmpls.bsky.social ACTUALLY help with material support. How can people turn their lives around with nothing stable to stand on? How can they find stability when Jacob's pigs take everything?
