hey do you remember when we all found out about the horrors of the Muslim Ban under Trump 1.0 and fucking went to the airports to protest the horrors done to our fellow humans and pro bono lawyers were all over and stuff? the olden days of January 2017? when the overton window was over there?

TSA is alerting ICE about travelers with expired visas. An Oakland woman was detained recently before her flight home from Denver. ICE is targeting spouses of US citizens and people with pending asylum, green card, and visa extension applications. Airports are now potential deportation traps.

9/9 So when you hear, "It's less than 10 we shouldn't pay attention to this!" that's wrong. The number we should be paying attention to is 33,000. Bigots have bullied 33,000 trans kids out of the opportunity to play games with their friends. 33,000 kids is a lot. More than enough to matter.

PLEASE do this. Donor matches depend on ethnicity. A dear friend of mine, half Scottish and half Cantonese, couldn’t find a great match. Asians were especially under represented in the donor pool then. JOIN NMDP AND SAVE A LIFE! Also: Donating is all through blood now (not lumbar puncture). +

There is nothing inherent in cis men’s biology that predisposes us to be predators. And trans men are not more likely to become predators if they take hormones. It’s patriarchy. That’s the problem.

this dynamic described by jenny racicot is, as i understand it, very common among progressive women in maine. they’ve been put in an impossible position and feel like they’re tanking platner’s campaign when in reality he did that on his own by being a violent and reckless person.

“One of the reasons I didn’t come forward sooner was, the huge moral conflict that I had between supporting his politics, but not supporting him as a person,” she said. “I just want the truth out there. I just want people to have a whole scope of who he is as a person.”
