Absolutely unbelievable how solar power has taken off worldwide during the Hormuz oil crisis. You don't have to hand it to him, but Trump may have done more to finally kick off a global civilization of effete librul solar users than anyone else in the West
Social workers do incredibly vital work but we don't pay them enough to pay back their student loans so we'll solve this by taking away their student loans
President Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/aaAEu6v

This is the beginnings of an answer to that complaint donmoynihan.substack.com/p/rebuilding...

Great series starting at @filmforumnyc.bsky.social today: every Tuesday, they show movies that are set in, or heavily involve, the New York subway system. I took this series as an opportunity to write critical blurbs about a some of my favorites. www.rogerebert.com/mzs/get-on-t...

riding bikes is also vastly more pro social than driving a car. you pay so much more attention to the world around you and are so much better enmeshed in your community.
Riding bikes is 10X more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities. And that’s just the climate emissions. Doesn’t include the massive public & personal cost difference, the air & noise pollution difference, the massive space difference, etc, etc…Via @theconversation.bsky.social
One of the arguments against funding universal school meals in Seattle now is "the money may run out and we'll have to yank the program in 3 years." What's baffling to me about that argument is that the council funds things with literal ONE-TIME money all the time. This is an ongoing tax source!
