I saw a video by a guy who records himself collecting scrap metal at roadsides. Apparently, he misidentifies items he finds because people angrily correcting him in the comments drives up engagement & thus monetization. It's a mild example & I'm not mad at the guy. But it is illuminating.

Carney's claimed a new pipeline isn't about appeasing separatists. His supporters often claim he's only play acting as big oil's guy to somehow stymie or "call the bluff of" perpetual oil shills like Danielle Smith. But it looks like appeasement, sounds like appeasement & walks like appeasement. 1/
