The rise in Niño 3.4 region sea surface temperatures over the past few weeks has been nothing short of astonishing. We are now hotter than any days during the 1997/1998 super El Niño event, and we are still many months from the peak.

I'm in the Star today with a piece on the Carney government's handling of relations with the United States. Last year, Canadians gave Mark Carney a mandate to disentangle our country from the empire to the south. By any reasonable standard, he's done the opposite. Link in first reply.

The Big Apple bench is going in. The ball chairs that were all soccer balls during the World Cup, now reflect all sorts of summer sports you can watch on Granville Street patios. Tonight’s Dominican Street Dance drew a crowd. And simple games help make the street magnetic. Week Two looking good.
