I’ve been dwelling on this for a couple of minutes now, and I think, if @theonion.com can do market manipulation at will… we might not be as bad off as I thought.

Not a great economy alert! Wall Street Bets users think Palantir spiked today because The Onion story titled “Palantir Acquires Pentagon for $800 Billion” hit their front page. They’re guessing trading bots indexed the top post on the subreddit reddit not understanding source.

I don’t know about you but I’m fairly tired of everything in this country being a mob boss pressure tactic

This post was of course brought to you by my own filthy real life glasses
Is there a game where keeping the character’s glasses or visor clean is part of the play?
I figured this must exist, happy that it does.
In fact there's an achievement in Metro 2033 for wiping your gas mask 20 times.
It wasn’t up to me, but Alzo was my top pick too.

This is an insane solution. And needs to happen immediately. VA legislature should retire the whole state Supreme Court and appoint a new set of judges who will uphold the vote of the people.
We don't ordinarily publish posts at [checks watch] 8:51 PM on a Friday night, but state constitutional law expert Quinn @yeargain.bsky.social has an outside-the-box idea for reversing the VA Supreme Court that is very much worth taking seriously: Dems can simply lower the retirement age.

Order Up! was an opportunity for us to share some of our favorite family recipes in the voice of a game character. Lord Rumplebottom's Thoroughly English Muffins were contributed by Ian Dallas, who was a writing intern on the Sam & Max team at the time.

Just a friendly Thursday reminder to NOT SUPPORT bigoted right wing grifters like this guy. Folks like this will poison your hobby if you allow them to continue to operate without any pushback. Unsubscribe, block and warn the people they're attempting to work with. Show them they're not welcome.
Yep. Mimicry is an important skill for writers in my business, and it's fun, it's like acting for writers. And you can't leave it to AI - if you're telling a story in someone else's IP, you've got to get yourself into the mindset in order to do anything new. It goes far beyond the feel of the text.
No, this isn't it. I did years of consulting and marketing and writing everything from financial brochures to sports newsletters in client-specified voice, and was so good at it that I made a six-figure salary entirely from word of mouth. An "AI" isn't going to do any of that better than I did.
