Migration as such doesn't upset most -- source of fear is 'that someone else is capable of imposing their will even against resistance. …What mass migration shows is the impotence of the receiving state, and the power that migrants possess.’ felixbender724201.substack.com/p/migration-...

For at least twenty years, in every hotel I've stayed in, if there's a Bible I've signed it 'Cheers for believing, all the best, Jesus'. As a full-time touring musician it's well past the thousand mark by now.

New rules make it easier to get rid of rogue property factors
FED-UP homeowners have been handed a major boost under new rules making it easier to kick out rogue property factors. The right to sack rip-off factors already existed – but a crippling two-thirds majority hurdle buried in many title deeds often left owners stuck with rip-off managers. Changes introduced in April under the Housing (Scotland) Act 2025 mean a simple majority vote is now enough to show poor-performing factors the door. The shake-up means residents are no longer shackled by restrictive title deed conditions that made replacing a factor a near impossible task.

the ideal academic life is being an eccentric Victorian lord. Invent a stamp licking machine at 22. Get elected to the Royal Academy for counting the beetles on your estate. Die in an arsenic explosion. The perfect life.

Basic income is the power to say no to somebody else's work and the freedom to say yes to your own work—which is not work at all—it's play.
Without the power to say no or walk away, all labor is slave labor. Basic income is the floor to walk on and the power to walk away. #UBI #BasicIncome

The Immigration and Asylum Bill undermines the rights of migrants and risks seeing even more families ripped apart. We stand in solidarity with all migrants. Once again we treated as if we are somehow "second class" by the way we are treated. You can read our statement below👇
