In Bari Weiss' Free Press, Olivia Reingold reported from El-Sayed's watch party that "there were keffiyehs as far as the eye could see ... keffiyehs on heads, keffiyehs as belts, keffiyeh-printed phone cases." Not a single one made it into images from Reuters, a local ABC station, or Detroit News.

Given this was the first transit measure in the Spokane area in a WHILE that has had an organized opposition campaign, I’m really heartened by the results. In 2016, the measure passed 55-44 in the same year the county voted for…Donald Trump. But there was no official “no” campaign.

sucks to learn that as of Sept 4th the ability to request music playback via audible queue will no longer be available on my phone... google assistant was pretty crap, esp when you listen to artists with non-english names, but it's streets ahead of how shit gemini is at the same req

I care about healthcare for all, affordable groceries, good jobs, strong public schools, affordable housing, voting rights, civil rights, and human dignity. I don't care whether those ideas come from the DSA, the Democratic Party, or somewhere else. I care whether they make people's lives better.
