The reactions to Ardays death show why this site is a bubble. Yes Cofcas is controversial but his accusations were substantiated by the guardian of all places. Arday was a publishing academic shown to be found wanting and as such should have been held accountable. That means by the press too.

The alternative to this is people lying with impunity, with the media knowingly covering it up. It's an awful story. And the media will get a lot of the blame. But those who perpetuated the lies and shielded Arday from facing up to them deserve more of it.

What people call “woke 1” was just elites deciding certain cultural norms were dominant, largely through Twitter exposure, and insincerely and clumsily performing them for status. Then Twitter changed, other norms seemed dominant, and elites insincerely and clumsily performed them for status.
