One of my favorite buildings here in Portland is on fire. I’m very sad. It was one of the last recognizable parts of that area in NW that I loved to wander around in the early 2000s as an industrial & undeveloped open space. Now it’s rich yuppies, glass & steel condos & manicured dog park.

An abortion opponent wrote online that it was “kill day” at a clinic that provides later abortions. Boulder police showed up, then prayed with the author of the post.

Cops hate cities, hate the people living inside of them and are much more empathetic to someone trying to race through the city to enter and leave as quickly as possible than they are to like, a cyclist or pedestrian, who represent a class of people (city residents) the cop wished stopped existing

I have seen this in so many places, I have no idea why police no longer care about enforcing traffic laws, it's bizarre! They're driving more than anyone! They have kids! Yet they don't care. Like do they get paid more dealing with crashes, the bloody the better?

Today is ADA day — on July 26, 1990 the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law. The ADA would not have happened without Representative Major Owens, a Black man. Which has something to do with why his vital contributions to the ADA are routinely ignored. www.ncd.gov/2013/10/23/n...

The legacy media sat there while Trump lied about the past elections and "joked" about running again in 2028. They did not boo. They did not walk out. They just sat there and ate their dinner. The journalists in that room will be remembered as the journalists in that room.

Police murdered a Black man in the street in Madison WI today. Shot point blank in the head while on the ground, tased, and surrounded by four cops. It looks like an execution. Multiple videos circulating online. Things are about to get very bad here.

For years, public health experts have come together to review preventative tests and treatments for conditions like cancer, diabetes and H.I.V. Under RFK Jr., that task force hasn’t met in over a year. Preventative health care saves lives. Politicizing care jeopardizes them.
