People have lost their minds over this because it’s Stancil saying it but it’s obviously true. We *know* people spend money on things for reasons like: Looks nice Impresses friends (makes enemies jealous) Demonstrates wealth Not: Is made of the secret materials that can’t break

2. These types of questions kill me, but put a gun to my head right now and I'd say (in no particular order): - "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell" - Susanna Clarke - "Use of Weapons" - Iain M. Banks - "The Fifth Season" - N.K. Jemisin - "Hyperion" - Dan Simmons - "Dhalgren" - Samuel R. Delany

Worth noting that in 2018, Lauren Underwood and Haley Stevens each flipped a red House seat to blue and have held that seat ever since. The test of a party is the ability to win on the other party's turf. For all the talk of DSA ascendancy, they've not once flipped a seat.

Imma just say it. At 85%, White Kids who came from a place of privilege running the DSAs after they helped benefit from gentrified communities, have no survival instincts. That's why they are scared to challenge Red Districts. They are scared to face their parents.

Enten: "This is the best looking polling for Texas Democrats in a Senate race since really the 20th century ... Talarico is doing 9 points better than O'Rourke [in 2018] ... this could be very, very real. Democrats have a real shot in Texas."

1. Most bicycles are not going 25 mph 2. Bike crashes involving pedestrians are rarely fatal because of lower speeds and mass 3. The risks posed by bicyclists and cars to pedestrians are not equivalent 4. Why does no one ever say, "I support cars but they need to operate within traffic laws."

You can’t hear a bicycle coming at you and at 25 mph, there is enough force there to kill you. Both vehicles and bikes are hazardous to pedestrians.

I support bikes but they need to operate within traffic laws as everyone else has to.
