This is unironically what it's going to be like if even a single DSA backed candidate makes it into the Dem Primaries for 2028

Weird futures and stupid puns. Helped make solarpunk a thing. Special interests include collaborative art, game design, visions of the future, and occasionally pro wrestling.
i know votes are still being counted but the more i look at this michigan senate map the more it becomes clear that it kind of looks like a mitten
My favorite du bois essay is a dialogue with an imagined white friend (you can pretend it's William dunning or anyone) in 1923! It works *because* it's a conversation, like they say below. I think "The Superior Race" also originates the formulation "x didn't happen bc he's y, he's y bc x happened."
Superior Race (1923) :: W E B Du Bois . org
The Superior Race, written by the scholar and activist, William Edward Burghardt Du Bois, is at once an philosophically grounded rebuttal of white supremacism and a satire on so-called white superiority, which is conducted as a dialogue with a white interlocutor. The essay is presented and annotated at www.WEBDuBois.org, a site that provides links and source material by and about W.E.B. Du Bois. Dr. Robert W. Williams maintains the website and conducts the research.

I've said before: we should bring back dialogues, so instead of carefully and defensively writing around any argument you could think of, you can just write a part where the argument gets made by someone named Uggo Dumbfuck and refute it directly.
A salad giant tied to deadly food outbreaks gave $2.2 million exclusively to Republican PACs — including $1 million to Trump’s super PAC just six days after his FDA delayed new food-tracing rules.
the World Cup final will be between two teams that Cape Verde played even through 90 minutes

just how bad is the pending oil crisis? commodities day traders on reddit have begun to develop class consciousness
You can and should point out that police killing people daily is the "norm" in America. But that doesn't mean you *accept* the normalization of this violence and the way some people rush to smugly point these things out contributes to collective fatigue. Your horror has been stolen from you.
this is the perfect use of axios’s bullet point house style

Someone today asked me how we know an abandoned car is ICE-related. It’s pretty simple. When someone’s been kidnapped by ICE, there’ll be piping hot coffee in the cup holder. Maybe a bag of fresh McD’s left on the passenger seat. Purses, backpacks still there. A life violently disrupted.
Don't forget that BECOME A GREAT ARTIST IN JUST 10 SECONDS is available again, and you should play with it if you haven't before (and if you have). I made this today. I call it "Mycelial Prism"

European clubs, especially the smaller ones, make money by finding and cultivating talent that they can later sell to bigger clubs. In North America, the incentive is to fleece middle and upper class families on the dream of scholarships and/or going pro, regardless of the kid’s talent.
the idea that “playing sports” has to contribute to an admissions profile or be some Golden Ticket, instead of mostly “socializing and learning how to win and lose with some style and grace”, it incentivizes Spending More, Optimization, Specialization, Ref Abuse, all our familiar problems.
a lot of people give t4t a bad rap because of the math bloat and overly abstracted powers, but it was a necessary step between the crunch of t3.5t and the mainstream success of t5t.
Asking how people can partake in joyful acts during a period of immense suffering leads me to believe this is your first time at the suffering rodeo.
No one was better than James Rebhorn at playing slimy government officials who are withholding information from the protagonist
Your reminder that Joshua Chamberlain thought it was a moral imperative to fight the Confederacy but he didn't have any background as an Army officer, so he was like, "Hmm, I should study Casey's Infantry Tactics and Duparcq's Elements of Military Art and History", and that's how he beat Longstreet.

My cancelable take on Sorcerer Twitter is that folks need to consider the local ecosystem before they curse people into animal forms. I get it - toad is a classic! But as Australia shows, YOU CAN'T JUST LET THEM LOOSE EVERYWHERE. Most places need more beavers! ALMOST NO PLACES NEED MORE WILD HOGS.
my cancelable take on Sorcerer Twitter is I think magic squares are nerd shit
Remember these draconian Prairieland sentences when people talk about the importance of using the criminal system for "justice." A system is what it does; nothing more.
