Discovered a cursed photo subgenre: "grift hands"
I’ve learned that you can drop a bucket of mods onto GTA IV with relative ease and make it very playable on a modern pc. Looks really good, plays well (no bugs or crashes in 10+hrs)
Rare to be able to photograph an object in front of the sun
Just because bookstores sell DVDs doesn’t mean that all discs should be called DVDs
Enough for today time to watch hype videos for that Star Wars xcom game.
I really don’t get the air travel thing it feels so much better these days. Apps & realtime data changed everything, way cheaper, epic safety records, food is better, wifi and entertainment, no more smoking, nice carry on luggage… Some process/service stuff maybe but the experience is much more🤷♂️

I really wonder what motivates political vandals like Ford, Smith in AB, Sim in Vancouver, etc. They seem to take such glee in what’s worse for people. Actually I don’t wonder much I just want them to leave so those of us who want safety, clean air, etc can get to it.
A story of cause and effect: Last November, Ontario banned cities from using speed safety cameras to issue tickets. Reckless speeding immediately surged in Toronto, Ottawa, Guelph, and cities throughout the province. A 🧵 about my latest in Bloomberg (gift link)
I would have more time for the NDP's criticism if they would actually support giving the CAF the resources it needs, instead of whining that the organization they want to defund isn't doing everything they want it too. www.theglobeandmail.com/world/articl...
'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)
this man should get combat pay bc he was FIGHTING here
When we see climate disruption in front of us, it’s not the time to give up on climate action. It’s the time to double down.
If you show up to Bluesky without following anyone, you'll be treated to a series of posts about art, music, and dogs. If you show up to X without following anyone, you'll be bombarded with right-wing conspiracies and white supremacist slop. It's weird which one is seen as a "political bubble"
This was from Flandrau State Park, New Ulm, MN. I let the light from a nearly full moon illuminate the camper for this star trails shot. We were very much asleep in the camper at the time. #astrophotography
I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
When you step back and think about it, it's absolutely flabbergasting that we're allowing a bunch of corporate tech bros to just *take* the entirety of mankind's knowledge, and repackage it so they can act like they own it, and then attempt to sell it back to all of us in perpetuity. Like... no.
This is a fine enough joke but I find Air Canada way better than WestJet or even momentary darling Porter (flair not even in the running).
Canadians relieved they won’t be forced to fly Air Canada
Good look to walk into a party and declare the guests are not the correct composition and need to change what they’re doing.
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."
Vancouver has stations with appropriate land use too (e.g. downtown) but does any other Canadian city have policy failures anywhere near the scale of Nanaimo or 29th stations, which are an 11 or 12 minute ride from the CBD on a high frequency line and still dominated by SFH 40 years after opening?

Hi, Ghostbusters? Yeah it’s me, yeah he’s in my feed again.
"I am not going to be in the same party with Hasan Piker ... if he becomes a force in the Democratic Party, I am out of here," James Carville says on Fox this morning. Reminder: The Left Insurgency airs tonight on CNN at 8p ET.
