It's fairly impressive that Badenoch leads a political party with 3,800 councillors but has the same understanding as to what they do as a random bloke complaining about his Council Tax down the pub.

I just don't think any of this is particularly edifying and we should have strong boundaries within politics about abuse. And doing this stuff is just not indicative of sound judgement?

I won’t personally exult in the death of anyone outside a dictator with literal blood on their hands, but I do find it quite weird when they tone-police how people react to polemicists dying. Big part of his oeuvre, was it, essays on showing respect for the deceased no matter what they believed?

Rod Liddle was a piece of shit in both his private and public life, and it speaks to the state of British media that they're praising the man. He presaged the steep downward decline of British broadsheet print columnists into increasingly open racism, misogyny, and hatred of queer people.

There was an old writer named Rod Whose opinions were frequently odd His devotion to hate (Quite ignored by his mates) He will now have to explain to God.

I'm a full Professor of Immunology and fully vaccinated. I didn't get vaccinated out of obedience, but after decades of studying the immune system and evaluating all evidence. Calling that "lack of critical thinking" is not an argument. It's ideology masked as pretend intellect.

Rod Liddle has died aged 66. If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all. I'm saying this, cos if Rod Liddle had lived by that principle, then he wouldn't have uttered or typed a single fucking word in his entire adult life, & the world would have been much better for it.

Discovering and latching onto Rod Liddle’s writing with all its crassness, vileness and arrogance poisoned one of my closest relatives into a person I barely recognized. Despite occasional pathetic flashes of self-awareness, Liddle‘s pen dripped bile corrosive to virtue until the day he died.
