I will say as a service industry physical laborer in the furry community we need to acknowledge how bad of a problem we have uplifting the blue collar workforce that makes up most of our community like. i see posts celebrating The STEM and art and medical but never our postal workers or janitors.

I think if youre mad at the artists themselves, you've really missed the point of what we're trying to defend here. That is the integrity of thier hard work, which is being diminished (frequently without thier knowledge or consent) and often times against thier own ethics.

Gonna be real: it's deeply shitty to aggressively demand that artists who worked on a large project guarantee to you that nobody who touched the project used AI. They can't know that and they're not responsible for that. They can only know things within the scope of their own job.

It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.

As some high profile maga types see where the wind is blowing and try to be the first ones out of the party I do look forward to them eating eachother alive publicly as a career imperative/ass cover. Hey I'll betray Elon Musk the MOST. Book me on your show or podcast or buy my actual book.

“I don’t think the president’s personal militia recruited from white supremacist gangs can be reformed” shouldn’t be a controversial statement, or taken as anything but an obvious statement of fact, and yet here we are.

CHANUR'S VENTURE (1984)
Acrylic on Watercolor Board - 28" x 18" The idea is that in the space behind the door there’s a firefight or some sort of trouble going on, and the heroine is trying to “keep a door closed” to the tumult, so to speak. 1/4 #art #booksky 🪐📚

An alien with tawny fur, amber eyes, and a lion-like head leans her weight into pulling a heavy bulkhead door closed. White laser beams cross in the open gap of the bulkhead indicating a battle is taking place on the other side. From her thin high waist, curve of hips, and swell of fur covered breasts, the Hani's gender is quite obviously female. Bare above, she wears only crimson pants with a white waistband. Long strands of wavy fur descend from her cheeks and muzzle forming a bearded mane. Many golden rings pierce her pointed ear with a pair of large pearls dangling from them. On her wrists she sports golden bangles. A submachine gun-like weapon hangs on a strap from her shoulder.

reminder that history has always been multiple events happening concurrently, but humans having the ability to see these events unfold in practically live-time is VERY new because of the internet. we were not built to handle this level of constant stress. 🧶(+)

the flip side to this is that we also have a lot of furries who are seemingly completely incapable of telling the difference between the epstein class and people who have disposable income (see comments, lol). it leads to a feedback cycle where people who are financially comfortable (continued)

A lot of furries get mad if you suggest they're more well-off than the average person. Sorry but if you're jetsetting to cons around the world nonstop and going skiing in the alps in your fursuit you are not lower class lmao.

Super fine to make a list of safe, cozy, green-flag romantasy! I've got friends who love that stuff and have to be careful about triggering content, and I would gladly share a list of books for them BUT They're not more "ethical" than everyone else, and it's frankly fucked up to suggest otherwise

Tech companies want you to object against AI on aesthetic reasons, instead of ethical ones, because it shifts the burden of accountability onto individual artists to prove their art isn't AI, which gets increasingly difficult to do as image model improvements outpace detection systems.

A new example of Meta shithousery. This is a post of mine on Instagram (left). Click the dots top right and this advisory note appears (right). I never use ai, never will. Why would they do this? Who benefits? Are they just trying to make viewers think everything is genAI so they just accept it?

A digital painting I posted on instagram. I didn’t use ai to create it.

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.

Taylor Farms, which supplies major fast food and grocery chains, was identified as the possible source of the cyclosporiasis outbreak Thursday.
