I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

An aircraft passenger oxygen mask: a drop down passenger mask with air bag and yellow plastic mouth and nose cover, oxygen tube has been cut; Demonstration model used by flight attendant crew for passenger instruction. Has text on the side indicating that it's non-functional.

I got a late start on strawberry setup this year, I didn’t have everything ready in fall and then cold & wet & snow in spring meant it took forever to get plants in. Plants came early, too, so I lost a bunch waiting. BUT I HAVE ONE STRAWBERRY!!

A photo of strawberry plants and parsley, highlighted by the chopped straw mulch underneath. There is precisely one (1) (ONE) ripe strawberry in the entire photo.

Basquiat seyde that "art ys how we decorate space, and musique ys how we decorate tyme." It doth followe that poetrye ys how we decorate thoughte and sense, and narratyve ys how we decorate memorye. And all are middel fingeres agaynste death. Make art, or else.

This seems like a really good reason to have something on your phone for confronting purposes. Like, I dunno, Metallica. Or The Rodeo Song (I hate it, but I bet someone like this would hate it more). And honestly, an in flight crew who doesn't shut this down IMMEDIATELY is derelict.

Evangelist Whitney Lynn says she preaches on planes because she loves “a captive audience.” She's not alone. It's becoming a trend. If spreading your message requires listeners who can't escape, maybe it's not as compelling as you think. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/christian-...

It’s a soup day (yesterday carcasses today finishing) and while debating what carb version to add my brain just sat up and said “you don’t need one. Just freeze without, and when you thaw add whatever you want” and how has it taken me literally DECADES of soup making to realize this?
