Boy. I haven't done anything Wild West theme for a while. I thought it would be fun to make a 19th century inspired scene with both my 4-4-0 and newly acquired small 2-8-0 locomotives with their respective trains. I enjoy getting these trains out for a scene like this.

I do not regret picking up the complete discography of (predominantly vaporwave and other emergent internet genre) music label Business Casual, if for no other reason than for the names of the artists and the albums they put out (though obviously I am also here for the actual music)

Giving myself a break from 3D modelling work by taking a small prep work task I know I'll need to do sooner or later before I work on the track here mire- masking off the metal sleepers so that I can weather the track and wood ones

So, Unlike the Knights M4 RIS and M5 RAS, the Block II quad rails are entirely comprehensible engineering pieces, mostly because they weren't specced by committee. Gonna knock through 'em real quick. Also, because I don't think I showed it - TA31/M150 RCO/M4CP with Killflash ARD

QRT: Do y'all see the goal here? Especially on the east end of the layout, Mt Matilda and Gathercole Reserve are what I'm using as my core guides for the mallee green lands (mostly because I have a lot of nice reference photos of it from there)

Spent Sunday up in Wongan Hills, climbing a hill of course, Mt Matilda walk trail in Wongan hills nature reserve was full of life and so many flowers (still loads more to come tho!). Was so peacefull all could hear was the wind in the trees and birds chirping all around!

Forty years ago today, I arrived in Sydney after travelling overnight from Brisbane on the Brisbane Limited Express. After arriving at Central terminal, I headed back to Redfern where I got this shot of 4428 in a ridiculously immaculate Candy paintjob. 40 years ago today, August 2 1986 1 of 15

Alco diesel loco 4428 in absolutely pristine gleaming Candy paint job sits in the early morning sun behind platform 1 at Redfern.

Small Birminghams. Or Bug Boxes. Perhaps the most famous narrow gauge carriages ever? On Minffordd in the 1960s we show these hard at work on the relief ‘Flying Flea’ service to mop up every shilling and penny in the summer peak to plough back into rebuilding the FR.

The hardest working shunter in showbiz! Our ‘Simplex tractor ‘ Mary Ann is a real crowd-pleaser at exhibitions with its unique look and sound. This WW1 veteran helps us to make sure there’s always something moving on the layout.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

An aircraft passenger oxygen mask: a drop down passenger mask with air bag and yellow plastic mouth and nose cover, oxygen tube has been cut; Demonstration model used by flight attendant crew for passenger instruction. Has text on the side indicating that it's non-functional.

Brass PFM/United Southern F-1 paintjob and DCC install for @t-crash.bsky.social is complete! This was a super fun project and I love how beautifully it’s come out! If you have any brass trains you want painted, feel free to reach out via DM’s!

New (to me) train car acquisition, probably one of the most rare Amtrak cars produced in N Scale: the Pacific Parlour car Santa Lucia Highlands!
