one of america's favorite passtimes is the collective joy--& it IS joy, it is about having fun together, it is a participatory pleasure--of picking a woman to mass harass for a while. to write think pieces about, to try and go viral by one-upping each other's funny posts & moralistic "callouts" etc

i think theres value in recognizing that your ancestors didnt worship zeus and athena; that you have been served a fabricated past, ready-made for consumption but ultimately not your own. that greek history belongs to the greeks, and that you tread within it as a guest, not a host

I am, contrary to conservative fantasies, living a very uncomplicated lesbian life. I would like to continue doing that without the threat of having my rights revoked by one fascist government or another.

Transition works much better than cis people think it does. I have not had to assert myself or tell people what pronouns to use for me, unless I'm explicitly trusting them to use "xe/xer". And I use this nefarious ability to blend in among cis women to live my fucking life and piss in peace.

I cannot emphasize how much of a non-issue this is. I use the women's. Doctors ask when my last period was. Airport security looks back up at me when I hand them my passport. I have navigated life smoothly as a woman for years, and I am only endangered by the ideological fixations on denying that.

After a week and probably 40-50 hours of sudoku, I have become the ruler of sudoku! Sudovan 2 innovates on 1 in a lot of ways, takes care of the spikes in the difficulty curve really smoothly, and generally has just been a wildly fun time. Bless ya @skepticalmario.bsky.social for this puzzle GOTY.
