I think there is some truth to the fact that certain groups that claim to fight antisemitism have damaged their credibility by labeling too much criticism of Israel as antisemitism. But a lot of people are way too gleeful that this means they no longer have to pretend to care about antisemitism.

If you understand right-wing nationalist antisemitism not just as hatred of Jews qua Jews, but as a developed worldview in which the Jew stood for transnational border-crossing capital and ideology, you can see why right-wing Jews had to reinvent "rootless cosmopolitanism" from first principles.
