We shouldn’t have put all our eggs in one hand basket (she/her)

people will be like "well homeschooling worked great for me" and like sure, ok, I don't doubt it, but religious conservatives are raising swarms of children who can't read and don't know what the sun is and I think we may need to return to a seatbelt-mandate-style solution to this issue

lol two guys got into what looked like it could turn into a serious fistfight over a parking space or something and the national guard just yelled “get back in your cars!” at them from across the street …and kept walking good job guys

My Indian FIL voted for Trump in 2016 (business man Trump) and by the middle of 2017 had already regretted his vote. Voted Biden in 2020. Tonight he literally was like "tell me about socialism" at the dinner table and, anyway, I think the midterms are gonna go poorly for the GOP

I believe Clacton deserves an MP who will spend their time shining a light on everything the area has to offer. And why wait till I'm elected? I've been to visit one of the constituency's most stunning landmarks.

It’s so telling and pathetic that center right pundits can’t just admit that Biden was a normal president and Trump is profoundly abnormal. Your political party sucks dude! If you were serious about democracy you’d be telling people to vote for Dems, not drawing false equivalencies.

Lie. Biden definitely wasn't "maxxing out" on "illegal immigration." Immigration activists denounced his policy as too draconian, and Dems tried to pass a hawkish immigration bill. Similar point re: Starmer. NYT thinks the op-ed page is for publishing lies, at least if the lies are right-wing. 6/x

After 2020 we tried putting this establishment back in charge, but the Biden era just gave us a more left-wing version of meritocratic hubris, replacing experts with interest groups, maxxing out on social liberalism and illegal immigration and then unraveling completely in the end. Something similar could be said about the Keir Starmer experiment in Britain. There is no evidence that the old elite has a blueprint suited to contemporary governance, no reason to expect that it won’t just cycle through the same mistakes and backlash.

Blessed to have visited Hawaii to get library joy from their school librarians & library workers, and while there I got to visit the Hawai’i Cat Cafe 😁 🌺 Next time I’ll be sure to read them some stories ✨📚
