Marking essays generated by LLMs is the most tedious of tasks. A single thesis chapter can contain up to 25 reformulations of the same idea. Also, if I read one more text wrestling with invisible opponents ("Thing x is not merely abc, but also/rather xyz", with no previous mention of abc), I'll cry

Right wing men desire a world ruled by hierarchy and domination, and the way they treat women and girls is an extension of that principle. Left wing men desire a world ruled by equality and dignity, and the way they treat women and girls is an exception to that principle.

An investigation by The New York Times found extensive evidence that Cesar Chavez, the United Farm Workers co-founder, groomed and sexually abused young girls who worked in the movement.

So much that could be said on the 4th anniversary of the full scale invasion, but it all just boils down to the ultimate admiration for Ukrainians who have endured so much, fought so hard and deserve victory, peace and prosperity. Slava Ukraini!

Just published: our paper with Selbi Durdiyeva, taking a close look at the legacy of Angela Davis, much of the Western left and the ongoing disengagement with dissent knowledges and liberation struggles in Europe’s East, Central and North Asia, emphasising the urgent need for epistemic reparations

💥Viktor Orbán’s media doxxed 200,000 opposition supporters by publishing stolen personal data, including names & addresses – unprecedented in Hungarian politics. Recovering from this, opposition leader Péter Magyar held a rally in Győr, saying they are the majority — and they’re not afraid of Orbán.

We shouldn't understand the gig economy as merely the product of technological disruption. It is deeply entangled with the welfare institutions — and the broader transformation of work, security, and social protection.

It was so good to have you with us in Ukraine at our conference with @associationruta.bsky.social on imagination, new visions and connections and close the event with the bang that was our panel on dissent, with a transregional critique of leftist campism, selective anti-imperialism and solidarity

Those campist idiots who think all Ukrainians are anti-Palestinian should be at the conference in Ukraine where I am currently. Talking to and socialising with Ukrainians, plus other victims of Russian imperialism from Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, Lithuania, Georgia, Chechnya,

I understand the urge but... immigrants are not only valuable because of contributions to the economy. This is damaging coz: 1. Contributes to commodification of immigrants 2. Makes migrants disposable & deportable when labour is no longer needed (esp periods of high unemployment & austerity)

All these Trumpers are in for a hurting real bad once they feel how important immigrants are to the economy. It's going to be immense pain. And you know what? The country did it to itself—the self-destructive power of white supremacy.

Kindly reminder, when you look at the results of the election and grunt "wtf, Poland" do have in the back of your head that the difference in votes was 369,591 (1,78%), the smallest difference in the presidential election post-1989. Divided we are, yes. But give some of us a break, we tried.

Linking public service deprivation to immigration rather than to cuts & administrative burdens is a POLITICAL CHOICE My research shows that “immigrants cutting the cue" framing was key part of far right’s rise in Europe 👇🏽 🇬🇧: ap.lc/jwBBV 🇮🇹: ap.lc/WRePJ Yet another form of far right normalization

Starmer then: "poor public services are not the fault of migrants... they're political failure" Starmer today: "our public services, struggling under the strain [of illegal immigration]"
