How would I get by without AI? If I need a factually-dubious opinion expressed in a cliched manner with unearned confidence, I’ll just talk to a straight white cis man. I can get by on small-batch, locally-sourced, artisanal mansplaining, the way we always used to.

Guess it's a purity test to ask someone who claims to be a trans ally to not mock a trans women giving gentle pushback which gives fuel to right wing outlets to harass her, and then chest thump about how good an ally you are while never apologizing to the trans woman you mocked in the first place.

here's a fun lil exercise for cis people: how many articles would a publication have to print calling for your extermination before you would expect people who care about you to stop giving them money? and how would you feel if their excuse for still supporting them is some fuckass crossword puzzle?

What people using AI crave at root is an end to the uncertainty of human interaction and connection and its replacement with endless hollow affirmation and instant gratification. They should be pitied but never enabled or excused.
If you're scared about being the only person wearing a mask, I can tell you that most people do not care. I've been masking for the past 6 years. I've travelled to several different countries in that time. I've never had Covid and I've endured a handful of snarky comments at most. Be brave.

it's "nice" Ken is posting about this, rather than just shutting up (which is what he maybe should have just done before) but I'll note none of this is an apology, and the take wasn't bad - it was just in opposition to his behavior.

So why the closed comments and the blocking of many trans women who pointed out that what you said hurt them, Ken? That glibly saying the trans community gave you a pass to financially support an institution complicit in our deaths? It sure feels aligned with their transphobia when you do that, man.
Not one word of apology to the trans woman you put in the crosshairs of those right-wing outlets. Nope. Just a bunch of empty screens about how great an ally you are to us. No apology to the trans woman you bullied and insulted. No apology for the harm you brought her. You fucked this up, badly.

Please stop saying “lockdowns.” There were never true lockdowns in the US, and it fuels far right narratives to repeat this inaccurate statement. You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.

We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.
