I think there's a tendency to discount Willy's Wonderland as a poor-man's-FNAF, but I honestly think they nailed the central conceit, had more believably uncanny animatronics, AND got Nick Cage.
When I was like 9 or something my dad took me to a big summer camp-like workshop where they had a bunch of magazines you could cut out stuff and put it on a button press. We made this one together but I lost it like 2 years ago and it still makes me sad. It's so perfect
ages ago i saw someone say to try to show a full body character every page/spread. forces shot creativity and helps downstream issues like not engaging with or fleshing out the environment enough, and if you want to break it you gotta justify why (and it makes that more impactful!)
kieu @ we must not stop living@leslekieuart.bsky.social · last mo.My real tip for new comic artists is to make sure to take a step back during the layout process and look at the comic as a whole so you don't have medium or close up shots for like 5 pages straight. your characters just don't feel like they occupy a space if you do that.
the wachowskis did not disguise the camera as part of of morpheus' outfit to get this "impossible shot" so you could tell me that AI is "inevitable":

lately i have noticed that when google search doesn't parse the keywords i'm searching for as a sentence, it seems to kind of decide that only one or two of the words i'm searching for are actually important, and returns results based on that
