people will be like "well homeschooling worked great for me" and like sure, ok, I don't doubt it, but religious conservatives are raising swarms of children who can't read and don't know what the sun is and I think we may need to return to a seatbelt-mandate-style solution to this issue

This sort of overt racism is apparently A-OK in legacy media if the person in question is Muslim. It's not "new pain". It's just racism. There's no controversy. Those complaining are simply racists.

The social cost for being a Republican should be exactly the same as the social cost for belonging to the KKK or the Nazi Party. It should carry exactly the same moral judgment and social penalty. It’s the same thing.
