thinking about music as a palimpsest. listening to a song over a decade or more and finding new meanings in it as you change and grow. new singers, new versions that tweak the lyrics, and it's not the same song but it is, it always is

Having grown up in Wales, I can testify that if you are actually worried about your culture and history being under threat, the thing to do is write poetry and songs, perform plays, tell stories and organise festivals, not just sit around whining.

you can eschew anthropomorphizing language like "think" and "reason" and even "intelligence" but anyone who uses these tools regularly cannot fail to see that what they do is something more than just parroting.

also, a general reminder: in the CK3 game settings, you can ENTIRELY flip the whole world's attitude on gender. every male first/male only becomes female first/only. it's crazy fun to watch what happens, as the DAUGHTERS of historical characters fight for thrones. AND... achievements still work.
