i genuinely think that the way this admin is treating Canada will be looked back on as of the most shameful chapters of modern US history far too many people are laughing it off as unserious but the reality is that they’re spitting in the face of our closest ally for no reason

Americans have the luxury to forget that and what it means, Canadians very much do not, it's the whole fundamental deepest root of their culture in the same way that Jamestown and Plymouth are here. Next to that De Gaulle's dislike is that of a pouty child.
We did invade Canada twice, arguably three times if you count the Fenian Raids. Canada did a damn good job repelling all three. They literally exist as an Anglophone country in no small part from the people who looked at the Revolutionary War and said 'Fuck you'.

For 50 years, Cuba didn't take deportations. Now the Trump admin is dumping elderly Cubans ordered deported decades ago into southern Mexico, many who have been complying with immigration check-ins since before ICE existed. There should be a statute of limitations/expiration date on removal orders.

Corn ethanol (~40% of all US corn) requires about 100 times more land per vehicle-mile driven than solar photovoltaics -> electric vehicles. Shifting corn to solar *would free up land*.
