Likes history, genealogy, art, movies, small furry animals and terrible jokes. Possesses a (mostly) logical mind and a vivid imagination. Born and rared in Belfast, and back there after wandering round Scotland and London.

Been building a chain of evidence to identify someone whose record trail appeared to end at birth. Found her in an online tree with a different family, which seemed to blow my hypothesis, but looking more closely, she looks to have been shoehorned in and doesn't really fit there. Relief! #Genealogy

I've just seen the cover to the Complete Trumptonshire blu-ray, and now I need you all to see it too, so there can be an outbreak of delighted cooing and "aw" noises all across Bluesky. It's done my heart the power of good, it really has.

Cover to "The Complete Trumptonshire" blu-ray set, a rather lovely Sergeant Pepper pastiche featuring characters from across all three series.

Passive aggressive letters of the C19th: I haven’t very much more to say as we haven’t received any letter from you but I hope as soon as this reaches you that you will return one as quick as you can for I am sure from the word we have herd that you haven’t much Else to do only write #Genealogy

I'm taking this as literally 100 years ago, as my grandparents were at an in-between age for education & employment. 1. 14 years old - still in education and working towards joining the civil service 2. 12 years old - still in education (possibly a crammer), would later become a librarian 1/2

Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?
