I do like Claude Code. Use it every day at work to carefully implement bricks of logic until the PR is ready for me to offer for review. I just don't like being threatened with extinction and gaslit by C-suites (and former devs) on what it's capable of in an enterprise codebase thats 10+ years old.

My observation, especially in the last year, is that the real insidious thing isn’t even the rise of outrageously obvious antisemitism. It’s the complete refusal by many on the left to call it out or do anything about it. After over a decade of calling out every kind of niche reactionaryism.

Right now there doesn’t seem to be any movement in the US opposed to antisemitism.

So many absurd takes about how this or that generic thing that exists in most countries is actually inherently evil because Israel also has it. I think it's all downstream of the wildly popular subtly anti-Semitic idea that Israel is unique in its crimes against humanity.

Told my Dr a few weeks ago that Vyvanse made no difference for my inattention. It turns out I have to take it everyday consistently not just when I feel like it. It's Day 3 today and wow

So demoralizing getting pinged to review a frontend PR and the description is a four paragraph LLM dump of overconfident nonsense. If you didn't write the summary I'll bet the farm you didn't run the app and verify it visually. So now I have to tell you to do that. And I get labelled a luddite.

I have a theory (based on experience) that often when the most AI-forward member of a dev team increases productivity by using AI tools what is really happend is they are shifting the burden of understanding the code onto colleagues reviewing their work. They look faster by making the team slower.

I really, really, really don't think trusting the hallucination engine with your executive function is a good idea. Especially since those things can never be made secure and are computationally incapable of strictly adhering to instructions.
