Level 32 / furry / speedrunner / software developer / they/them 🖤🩶🤍💜 Note: I don't have a Twitter account anymore! If an account there looks like me, it's NOT me.

Liberty Biberty is the ideal puriteen fursona brought to life. Human facial features, no pointy teeth, no paws, no tail, no snout, no limbs, no genitalia, nothing animal-coded at all. Just a shapeless blob of fur used to market a product.

This is exactly the principle that has fucked up everything from deli flyers to UX in billion-dollar products Once upon a time, even if you were doing something on your own, it took long enough to do that it made you think about what you were doing! You had time to think "hang on, this sucks."

I think the thing about AI and small business owners is that previously the design would have to be run past either a second person who know some amount of design, or they'd learn photoshop and some amount of design with it now they can ask the AI to do their bad design and the AI never says no

I want everyone to internalize that these fucking "A.i." companies are inflicting this shit on us KNOWINGLY. They're doing this to us. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHATEVER HAPPENS. No bailout for these creeps, ever. Let their companies and their wealth and reputation evaporate forever.

wrote about "Black October," the PHP vulnerability, and the AI-fueled dread and panic I'm seeing among almost all of the cybersecurity experts I've ever known. I think people w/ LLMs are brute forcing software the same way they brute forced social media w/ slop www.404media.co/php2shell-bl...

I still think AI is evil for anything approximating human creativity but if you’re gonna use AI for code, plz for the love of god use a Chinese company

NVIDIA seems to be channel stuffing, forcing Amazon and other customers to take early delivery. The argument that these things are "scarce" when you don't even have anywhere to plug them into is nonsense...unless NVIDIA is saying you NEED to take them now, or else. GPUs are stacked in warehouses.

Usually, Amazon doesn't pay for racks until the gear is put into a data center, leaving suppliers to carry the cost of the equipment in transit, according to the internal documents obtained by Business Insider. This helps the company conserve cash.

However, the intensity of the AI data center building boom has made this type of coordination harder. Amazon has to compete more for scarce resources as it jockeys with rivals for access to Nvidia GPUs and other AI components.

Business Insider also reporting that Amazon projects it would take delivery of $3 billion a month in GPUs “every month for the foreseeable future,” all while not having anywhere to put them, as part of an “early rack receipt” program. Extremely strange!

Internal emails from August show Amazon preparing a new "Early Rack Receipt" process for an expected wave of server racks carrying Nvidia's GB300 chips at US facilities before final deployment.
One Amazon email projected the company would take delivery of about $5 billion of Nvidia GB300 racks in August, followed by another roughly $3 billion each month "for the foreseeable future."

truly a wild time to be alive when the cryptography world is split between those worried about quantum computers and those whose private key is “4”
