Especially on social media (where many/most people get their news) the photo is the most prominent part of the story; these choices undermine it completely

A lot of journalism in the tech space is basically free advertising. If some CEO makes a wild claim that is transparently designed to boost their market valuation you don't have to report it. This is how scams like Theranos happened. How many times have we heard that AGI is 1-2 years away? It's hype
