I find it funny that an article about 70s TV shows that couldn’t be made today claims the problem with ‘B.J. and the Bear’ is that we’re no longer obsessed with chimps or truckers. I’m thinking the inclusion of euphemisms for beefy gay men and oral sex in the title might also be problematic.

As someone who has experienced domestic violence from my mom's boyfriend, I know that the victim will do ANYTHING to calm the perp down, ANYTHING to avoid more abuse. Victims are masters of masking our inner turmoil because showing it will cause worse problems.
