Our habit when someone is permanently sick is to abandon them because they’re no fun any more, and it is killing people.

This story is not just about ChatGPT killing yet another person. It is a confluence of poor medical follow-up, isolation, and the complete lack of a support system for chronically ill people in this country. She should have had someone else to talk to other than a busy doctor and a chatbot.

I always say that a perfect example of the power of the double standard that seems to be unique to only Trump is that the person who interviewed him, a member of the Bush family, was fired on the spot just for *hearing* him say it on camera.
