Democratic socialist. People and communities first. He tāngata #Aotearoa

Point taken Andrew, but my study of the Hansard from 2024 onwards is a clear record of how Winston Peters, far more than any other MP, is responsible for the decline in the standards of the House, which ironically he so often decries. The Speaker appears to be complicit in enabling this. #nzpol

Children: as problems in schools to be controlled; financial benefits to the state, but also burdens that must therefore be incentivised, for parents to have them; not in need of decent nutrition but still to be shamed for their bodies; & oh btw the Children’s Commissioner is sacked. FFS #nzpol

In times like these, it’s important to pay attention to the grand unifying narratives ideas are hooking on to. Like that children are there to be controlled by adults, like babies and birth are commodities to be controlled by the state, like citizenship is a state more valuable than non-citizenship.

#NZpol Geoffrey Palmer: Be careful what you wish for – MAGA “is not a good formula to be copied in New Zealand.” – “It treats institutions built to check power, such as the courts, the press, the public service, as suspects rather than safeguards.” newsroom.co.nz/2026/08/01/g...

Also, this coalition govt’s ‘spending spree’ is well documented after giving all the money to (their donor) Landlords 😳. They cancelled Pay Equity yet are still borrowing more than for the pandemic… 🤔. Austerity is reckless & dangerous for the future of AoNZ. 20% of young women r unemployed 😳 #nzpol

Honestly, I get so tired of hearing “Labour’s Spending Spree”, especially by people who say they’re economists, when we had a goddamn pandemic & everyone was screaming out for $$ support. They also went a LONG way to get our social housing builds back on track. SOOOOO fucking fed up 😣

We need to stop talking about the financial debt of NZ - govt has net positive assets - & talking about debt just helps Neo-liberalism We need to talk about our: Loss of community Loss of fairness Growing Poverty Loss of Government services Lack of Infrastructure Growth in inequality #nzpol

RBNZ have decided that the answer to high oil prices is to stop the party before it starts. They want to push that blue line back negative and increase unemployment. It smells like recession. What a way to run a country. Unelected ghouls sacrificing workers to the false gods of reckonomics. [Ends]

Sad thing is if Luxon loses in November he will jet off to his Hawaii house with his lifetime taxpayer benefits and benefits from his "did you know I was the CEO that fucked up AIRNZ". And who has to carry this country. Us, our kids, our grandkids paying off this debt mountain he created #nzpol

As one of the top 2 most divisive politicians today, this smarmy cockwomble 🤡 has the audacity to say Te Pāti Māori had a “heart of darkness” and “stoked division”, while trying to divide us by beating down on Te Tiriti o Waitangi and instigating policy to enable his Atlas donors at our expense.

'Heart of darkness' put me in a bulletproof car, says Seymour. The division's your fault, says Te Pati Maori

The use of NZDF aircrew for security on Waitangi Day was revealed in documents about the prime minister’s use of aircraft, obtained by Stuff.
