A friend of mine once asked my older son to try to get some insight into this: A: Are you enrolled? K: Yes. A: Why? K: Because I'm not fucking stupid. Which means I have no insights, other than "If your vote doesn't matter why are they trying so hard to stop you using it?"

Talk about a vote of no confidence. Feels like a brutally specific indictment - not just of where things are at right now for young people, but also how they see the future. Can’t say as I blame them; but how do we win back hope?
