"I hate the AM, I hate the PM, I hate labels, I'm not a hero because calling yourself a 'hero' makes you a self-mythologizing narcissistic autocrat." They/them. BLM. Trans rights. All labor is skilled labor. Big guillotine energy. Go to therapy. RCTID.

Exacerbated environmental racism is one of the major very real harms of data centers, and something that people who've been studying & discussing this for over a decade have long pointed out. It gets put in communities already most disproportionately harmed by pollution like emissions & waste heat.

“This is very real redlining…It is appropriating rural, Black-owned land and converting it for industrial purposes, and it’s being done by people who have no historical or cultural tie to the land. These are not people who are local, developing their land for industrial use.”

the media in this country treats bigotry coming from a place of fear as a valid public position. eventually this leads you to the ludicrous place where “the muslim mayor of new york city shouldn’t attend the 25th anniversary commemoration of 9/11” is treated as newsworthy opinion

"This guy, I think, is just an in-your-face type of guy that — for lack of a better word — enjoys this kind of controversy.
I'm just not in favor of him being around, so if he didn't come, I'd say great, we would go. But if he's going to come, I would venture to say a lot of people might not go," said Hughes, who is now retired and lives on Long Island.
The grieving father said he disagrees with Mamdani's politics and expressed anger toward the mayor. "Just the thought of him there rubs me the wrong way," he said.

Twenty-five years after the mayor of New York City became the champion of America's grief and resilience at the time of the 9/11 attacks, families of those killed are split on whether the current mayor should attend the annual remembrance. https://cnn.it/4zkKYdc

We never got into the details because it was one of the things the writers found cool but various other humans found a little pipe-y was how absolutely do-able most of Hardison and Breana's viral hacks were. The algorithm is a system built to be hacked.
